History of this cafe

1994: Richard opens this restaurant, at 120 Victoria St. The interior has to be rebuilt, with the large grill, and overhead convector allowing us to make up to 500 breads a day. At first, Richard has just one chef-helper, plus two waiting staff. He’d make the rotis, then dash upstairs to help with the curries. The menu then was much more limited; we just did curries, breads, rending and noodle dishes.

We offer the $5 Roti cheenai lunch, which is very popular soon’ Richard’s mother arrived from chennai. She helps introduces Varuval, Varuthakari, Laksa and Meegoreng. The menu has more depth, for different tastes.
